GRP slope stairs
CTS GRP hillside stairs do not require concrete foundations or heavy machinery.
Short construction times during ongoing operations
GRP suspended stairs and escape and rescue stairs can be installed while operations continue, as neither concrete foundations nor heavy construction machinery are required. This greatly reduces or completely eliminates the need for closures. This is a decisive advantage for operational safety and scheduling, especially for safety-relevant access points and escape routes in existing buildings.
Flexible use without heavy equipment
Wherever heavy equipment cannot be used – such as on steep slopes, in narrow routes, or in sensitive areas—GRP stairs are a technically convincing solution. Their low weight allows for flexible logistics and quick installation directly on site.
The foundation can be created using screw foundations from Krinner. These are EBA-approved and allow for a concrete-free, adaptable foundation with extremely short construction times. The stairs can be loaded immediately and can be readjusted or dismantled if necessary – ideal for escape and rescue stairs in challenging locations.
Low maintenance and care requirements
GRP slope, escape, and rescue stairs are electrically insulating and do not require grounding. This significantly reduces testing, maintenance, and servicing requirements. Since GRP does not corrode, there is no typical damage caused by rust and no need for costly protective measures or coatings. This ensures permanently safe structures and low operating costs.
In addition, the use of vegetation fleeces can effectively limit vegetation growth in the staircase area. This further reduces maintenance requirements and keeps life cycle costs low in the long term.
